"Talk to the Hand"
More from this set coming soon, just in Dragoncon Crunch time!

I know there is a serious lack of butt and boobs in this photo, but liked how it looked and it showed off my 'climbing' pads that we sculpted for my finger tips.

You offered your hand, you brought me back from the edge....
In a world I could not quite understand
A reality too odd to be true
A game no one can win.

This is one of my favorite in the gallery!!! SO perfect! I thought it was a painting from the smaller thumbnail, then I thought it was a photograph of a statuette. Nice job- the glove/hand looks so perfect!

Those look pretty cool. What did you use to sculpt them with? Did they reduce your dexterity at all?

Just used some med chavant clay. The the pads are completely flexible and light, the nails are a little heavier but not much at all because they are a metal composite.

Do the pads actually add anything to your gripping ability?

:iconriddle1:

slightly but only small things like pencils, whatever gripping ability I have is lost cause of the nails :) I don't know how girls function with nails of that length. The idea is between the nails and the pads suppose to make climbing easier for black cat.

It's always nice to know comics artists think these things through. ;P

well I don't know about comic artists, but as a costumer that's what I try to look at and address :)

I apologize. I think my last comment was written a little snarkily. I mostly meant the nails, as I've seen fingernails on a LOT of female comics members, and I agree with you that I can't see how they can work with them! The pads on the hands make sense.

Oh it wasn't snarky at all! I just wasn't to sure if you thought I had based it on a comic artists interpretation. Some cosplayers our there are very canon and true to the artwork I prefer to interpret it, so I was just like pointing out the nails and the pads were part of that and not based on anyone's artwork.
