The Making of Big Sister
"Building Big Sister"
With Chris Donio, Nathan Sharratt, Riki LeCotey, Catherine Jones, Duncan Shirah, Daniel Ashby, Adam Foote, Joseph Hernandez
Learn about building Big Sister from Bioshock 2 in ten days!
Nathan Sharratt was contacted by CollegeHumor.com to build a wearable Big Sister, but with less than a two week lead time from project approval until deadline, it seemed an impossible task. Facing the challenge head on, he brought in some talented local sculptors and costumers to help get the job done.
Come listen to them discuss the process and various techniques on how they
approached and completed this multi-disciplined and daunting assignment, from initial concept-art-to-real-world proportion translation to engineering, sculpting, casting, leather work, metalwork, finishing and more!
I had a great time at Dragoncon, minus the lookie loo's. It was great to see more people, and show Dragoncon to someone for the first time.
Its tough to take pictures in costume but I did manage to get a few, you can check them out Here: [link]
